Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing or design engineering)
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or design engineering experience
Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and introduce wire EDM programs into production
  • Design, manufacture, and industrialize fixtures and tooling for development and high-rate production of additive hardware
  • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through start up and certification
  • Assess processes, take measurements, interpret data, and document results
  • Effectively communicate project outcomes to senior leadership
  • Lead projects intended to design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve technology and processes related to additive post processing. Specifically, processes related to wire EDM, bandsaw, and fixturing/tooling
  • Act in a supporting role for all other post processing operations
  • Develop and audit process specific work instructions, SOPs, and PM plans
  • Perform risk assessments and implement abatements
  • Participate in and lead problem solving efforts

  • Formal training or 3+ years of experience with GD&T
  • Knowledge of process related standards of GE Aerospace
