Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- One year of previous surgical technician experience or surgical technician certification is required.
- Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- The employee must be able to report to the site within 30 minutes when on-call.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the labor and delivery operating rooms.
- Create and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Assist with maintaining the labor and delivery environment and equipment.
- Enter surgical data from the perioperative report into the electronic record.
- Complete patient charges for surgical patients.
Desired Qualifications
- Operating Room Technician certification is preferred.
- Previous hospital experience is preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish ability is preferred.
