TDW launches SHiiELD pipeline isolation system with zero-emission sealing

T.D. Williamson has launched SHiiELD, a next-generation pipeline isolation tool that establishes a new standard for double independent isolation and bleed systems. The technology offers four times the throughput area of traditional double block-and-bleed solutions whilst delivering leak-proof performance and eliminating fugitive emissions. The system features two independently anchored modules with energised seals, providing redundant isolation that exceeds current safety and environmental standards. Remote activation and monitoring capabilities minimise operational risk and reduce downtime. "SHiiELD is changing the game of how operators isolate pipelines whilst meeting their emissions and safety goals," said TDW chief executive officer Bob McGrew. The Tulsa-based company operates in over 35 locations globally and has delivered pipeline integrity solutions for more than a century.
