Requirements
  • Bachelor / Master / PhD in the field of chemical engineering, natural sciences, engineering, mechanics or chemistry
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in the area of technology licensing and plant engineering, covering at least one or more of the following areas: solution and proposal development, process studies, execution of process design packages (PDP), innovation & development
  • Professional experience in hydrogen or syngas technology and design of chemical plants recommended
  • Ammonia or methanol experience a plus
  • Business development (technical related) experience a plus
  • English (fluent or native proficiency)

Responsibilities
  • play a leading role in the design, development and implementation of synthesis gas and hydrogen plants for customers around the world
  • represent the HyCO Product Line as technology & product owner during the proposal phase related to all applications of Steam Reforming and Ammonia Cracking technology. The syngas generation technologies to be implemented may also comprise oxygen based Autothermal Reforming as well as Partial Oxidation
  • combine the production technologies with a broad selection of syngas conditioning and purification technologies (e.g. carbon capture technologies) from Air Liquide’s technology portfolio
  • analyze the information provided by the final customer directly as well as Business Developer's (BD) and/or E&C Sales Representative considerations related to the design basis / needs
  • oversight of the solution development activities related to HyCO technology and products for the assigned proposals, ensuring the comparison of the screened alternatives. This covers the selection of suitable technical solutions, optimization of the process scheme, choice of HyCO products, suitable scope definition and integration of the solution with the overall project execution plan and schedule, as well as safety, reliability, and risks
  • ensure that the most suitable and competitive solutions are selected for a given proposal, with a strong focus on competitiveness including OpEx, CapEx and Total Cost of Ownership analysis during the solution development process
  • ensure close cooperation and coordination with peers from other Product Lines in case of multi-technology proposals
  • provide technical support to sales representatives or business developers during first-contact and providing necessary documents at various stages of project development
  • provide solutions and HyCO expertise for greenfield as well as revamp business. In the latter case, coordinate efforts with the E&C Service organization
  • support competition reviews and benchmarking with information and insight gathered during the solution development process. Support win/loss reviews of finalized HyCO proposals
  • highlight development needs for HyCO technology and products based on feedback from project development. Support transitioning of new product developments to be integrated to the solution development portfolio.
  • coordinate the continuous improvement and maintenance requirements for HyCO design rules as well as the exchange of lessons learnt between proposal and project execution teams with the HyCO Subject Matter Expert

Air Liquide launches $565M green bond to refinance hydrogen and sustainability projects

Air Liquide has launched its first green bond issue, raising €500 million to finance and refinance sustainable projects including hydrogen development. The 10-year bond was issued at a yield of 0.461% under the group's Euro Medium Term Note programme. Proceeds will refinance Air Liquide's September 2021 bond maturities and support the company's long-term growth. The issuance follows ambitious sustainable projects announced in March, particularly focused on reducing CO2 emissions. Fabienne Lecorvaisier, Executive Vice-President of Finance and Operations, said the transaction demonstrates investor confidence in Air Liquide's sustainability commitments. The company plans to become a regular issuer of sustainable bonds, integrating ESG considerations with economic and financial performance in its growth strategy.

Air Liquide raises $793M in inaugural Swiss franc bond issuance

Air Liquide has completed a multi-tranche bond issuance totalling 640 million Swiss francs (approximately €702 million). The transaction, carried out under the Group's Euro Medium Term Note programme, comprises three tranches with maturities of 5, 8 and 12 years at a weighted average interest rate below 1% annually. The proceeds will finance the Group's general needs.
