Requirements
  • Securities Series 7 and 66, or Series 7, 63, and 65, and resident-state Life, Health, and Annuities registration are required.
  • The candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in financial services as a licensed advisor.
  • The candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions.
  • The candidate must be able to maintain the integrity of sensitive and confidential information.
  • The candidate must have a basic understanding of the sponsoring financial advisor, its products and services, and Thrivent Financial.
  • The candidate must be able to work with all roles of the sponsoring financial advisor.
  • The candidate must be able to represent the organization in work with external clients.
  • The candidate must be able to cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizations.
Responsibilities
  • Handle sensitive communications with members/customers, including highly confidential information, and respond verbally and in writing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate and/or co-present product-specific seminars and workshops as necessary.
  • Identify criteria for fund selection and track performance against indexes, specifically for WRAP accounts.
  • Participate in business planning for the practice as needed.
  • Counsel and advise prospective and current members/customers on suitable financial products and investment advisory services.
  • Open and complete product applications.
  • Conduct substantive research and information gathering used to make suitable securities product recommendations or provide appropriate investment advice, including due diligence.
  • Accept and/or enter securities trade orders from customers, including unsolicited trade orders.
  • Explain, discuss, or interpret insurance coverage; analyze exposures or policies; and provide recommendations.
  • Issue certificates of insurance, endorsements, binders, commitments, or insurance contracts.
  • Assist financial representatives with preparation and follow-up for member/customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with financial representatives to assist clients with product changes.
  • Participate in and drive marketing services, including direct mail, fraternal activities, seminars, and meetings.
  • Perform additional responsibilities assigned in accordance with licensure and business needs.

  • Certified Financial Planner certification is preferred but not required.
