Requirements

MS or PhD in one of the following: electrical engineering, math, robotics, or computer science
Demonstrated industry or research experience (2-4 years) in related field
Solid background in math, software architecture, mechanics and linear algebra
Proficient in Python and supporting tools for scientific computing
Knowledge of control systems
Knowledge of robot kinematics
Have a high bar for delivering reliable and quality code
Organized and enjoys the challenges of working on time-sensitive and high impact projects
Eager to share and learn from a multi-disciplinary team and keen to take on new and unfamiliar tasks

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and debug innovative software solutions to control a new surgical robot, compatible with our compact office-based MRI system
Own software projects related to motion control, signal analysis and machine learning
Implement features and algorithms to support different device actuators
Integration of algorithms with existing software architecture, including development of any necessary auxiliary software
Work with mechanical team to optimize the mechanism for motion fidelity
Modify and tune algorithms to optimize motion fidelity, including calibration procedures, navigational error quantification, and path planning
Perform integration tests and troubleshoot defects
Create complete documentation for robotic systems
Collaborate with a diverse team of software, system, and mechanical engineers in building a robust robotics system

Are you an experienced algorithms engineer who enjoys tackling hard scientific problems? Are you interested in working on a new medical device in image-guided interventional procedures? Promaxo, a diverse, passionate, and growing team is seeking an organized and self-motivated professional to fill our newly created Algorithms Engineer position. You will significantly contribute to building and expanding the robotic capabilities of our next generation point-of-care MRI system.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and debug innovative software solutions to control a new surgical robot, compatible with our compact office-based MRI system.
