(MPS), a leading provider of high-performance power solutions, has officially opened its first engineering and test centre in Penang. The new facility will support MPS's expanding global operations and testing capacity. Leveraging its proprietary technology and engineering expertise, the company develops high-performance, ultra-efficient power management solutions used across data centres, automotive, consumer and industrial segments. The centre will also serve as MPS's Malaysia headquarters. The opening ceremony was attended by Chow Kon Yeow, chief minister of Penang; Loo Lee Lian, CEO of Invest Penang; and Deming Xiao, executive vice president of Global Operations at MPS. Chow Kon Yeow said the investment aligns with Penang's efforts to strengthen its semiconductor ecosystem.
