Job Title: Director of Sales Analytics (Sales Operations)

The Role 

Metropolis is seeking a Director of Sales Analytics to analyze business and sales data, conduct market research, and generate insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Additionally, you will oversee a team that manages the underwriting processes for the sales team, ensuring accurate risk assessment and pricing strategies to support revenue growth.  Reporting directly to the VP of Revenue Operations, this role will be responsible for orchestrating the strategic and operational aspects of sales within the organization

Responsibilities: 

• Develop strategies to improve sales performance through data analysis and insights. This involves close collaboration with the sales team, senior management, and other departments. Identify areas for process improvement within the sales operations, such as lead generation, pipeline management, and sales forecasting.
• Implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline workflows and increase efficiency. 
• Oversee the management of sales data and ensure its accuracy, completeness, and security. 
• Drives continuous improvement and innovation to support the company’s growth and competitiveness.
• Oversee the management of the sales pipeline, ensuring its accuracy, health, and alignment with revenue targets. 
• Develop and maintain sales KPIs, dashboards, and reports to monitor performance, track progress against goals, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Finance, Statistics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Seasoned professional with a strong background in sales operations or related fields, ideally with 7-8+ years of experience. 
• Demonstrated leadership skills, particularly in overseeing sales analysts, overseeing underwriting teams, and driving data-driven decisions and processes.  
• Expertise in underwriting processes, including risk assessment and pricing strategies, with a proven track record of supporting revenue growth.
• Proficiency using data visualization platforms and working with Data teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across departments.

The anticipated base pay for this position is $175,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant’s qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base pay is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a bonus plans and more.
