Requirements
  • A Master of Social Work degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • A current, active, unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker credential recognized within the United States is required.
  • The ability to pass all required background investigations and obtain installation access is required.
  • Applicants must possess Status of Forces Agreement status with access to U.S. military installations, or legal authorization to work in Germany and the ability to pass a police background investigation.
  • Applicants must provide confidential, voluntary, non-clinical coaching and understand the distinction between coaching and clinical treatment.
  • Applicants must be comfortable speaking in front of groups and leading workshops.
  • Applicants must collaborate with other providers as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Applicants must understand, or be willing to understand, military life and how to support service members.
Responsibilities
  • Provide confidential, voluntary, non-clinical coaching focused on resilience, stress management, and performance.
  • Discuss personal, professional, and operational stressors with service members to help them stay grounded and effective.
  • Recommend official support resources when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality, raising concerns to leadership or medical personnel only when there is a clear and immediate risk of harm or when required by law.
  • Lead monthly workshops on resilience, stress management, and life balance for service members and their families.
  • Share general resilience and stress trend observations with leadership without including personal health information.
  • Work alongside strength coaches, physical therapists, and psychologists on an integrated team.
