Arrow Electronics has an excellent opportunity for a Dell EMC storage engineer in our Bangalore, India location. This position will be responsible for internal dedicated and on-prem Storage & Backup infrastructure in a global, complex, and rapidly growing environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our Storage & backup infrastructure division production, staging, and test ecosystems. We are looking for a Senior EMC & Rubrik and NetBackup Storage administrator to be part of a strong and expanding SSC storage team. The ideal candidate is someone who has in-depth experience administering production enterprise-level and highly available systems and a passion for identifying and implementing system improvements. The Infrastructure Engineer under moderate supervision is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting the storage & Backup infrastructure. This may also involve monitoring and controlling the performance and status of the infrastructure. This may include evaluating and making recommendations in enhancements to the existing infrastructure.

What you'll be Doing::

• Be a Part of the technical team in Storage engineering platform techniques and processes such as:
• Develop and grow Storage solution in our inhouse datacenter
• Configuring and administration of EMC Storage Infrastructure
• New Server connection to the Storage arrays. Registering the hosts to the PVMAX/VMAX and configuring them
• Provide direction on engineering platform in Storage platform
• Creating/deleting storage pools and port groups.
•  Storage provisioning – creating devices, meta luns and masking them to hosts
• Setup of SRDF replication
• Configuring and administration of Netapp stroage
• Troubleshooting SAN fabric connectivity issues
• Participate and work on DR exercise tests from storage end.
• Document designs and implementation
• Provide expertise to work on outages and maintain the BAU Task in storage tower 
• Help the team with initial triage of platform issues
• Plan, engineer and design the storage infrastructure
• Develop and configure the infrastructure from conceptualization through stabilization using various computer platforms to include test, debug, performance analyze and document infrastructure components.
• Implement the infrastructure by analyzing the current system environment and infrastructure, using technical tools and utilities, performing complex product customization, and developing implementation and verification procedures to ensure successful installation of systems hardware/software.
• Implement test plans (including functionality, integrity, and stress testing: test matrices: and definition of test methodologies and strategy.
• Perform routine infrastructure analysis, and evaluation on resource requirements necessary to maintain and/or expand service levels.
• Ownership of various systems engineering projects related to Backup/Storage infrastructure

What We're Looking For

• 10 Plus years of experience in Dell EMC VMAX/PMAX, Powerstore, NetApp, EMC and Pure storage administration.
• Strong EMC Storage admin skills
• Significant experience with Netbackup and Rubrik Backup.
  Strong experience with management and maintenance EMC VMAX, EMC PMAX.  
  Proficient with Netapp, Pure storage, EMC Isilon, SRDF & Power store.
• Proficient and strong working knowledge on Brocade SAN. 
  Familiar with Linux and windows background in a team environment
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  Experience in working in a Large Environment with Multiple vendors.
• Great work ethic and teamwork skills

Experience / Education
 

Typically requires 10–15 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.
