Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • At least 10 years of software development experience is required.
  • Strong proficiency with Java, SQL, Git, and Python is required.
  • Very good understanding of industry-standard trading protocols such as FIX and FpML is required.
  • Proficiency with data standards and data modeling is required.
  • Proficiency with text-based formats such as XML and JSON is required.
  • Strong proficiency with messaging frameworks such as MQ and Kafka is required.
  • Proficiency with Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration is required.

  • Hands-on experience and working knowledge of order management systems, smart order routers, and market data aggregators is required.
  • Experience designing and independently implementing new systems and features is required.
  • Experience developing market data feeds and feeds to downstream systems is required.
  • Understanding of fixed-income trade life-cycle events is required.
  • Understanding of the regulatory landscape from a developer perspective is required.
Responsibilities
  • Build and design trading channels and messaging channels interfacing with other venues and exchanges using industry-standard protocols.
  • Operate mission-critical systems and deliver day-to-day enhancements across front-office and operations functions.
  • Provide technical oversight for a major fixed-income e-commerce project.
  • Design and develop core components in Java.
  • Create and implement system-testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams in a platform operating model.
  • Analyze and support vendor software.
  • Manage stakeholders and prioritize projects.
  • Deliver and maintain applications within the equities domain.
  • Provide second-level support.
  • Use AI tools such as GitLab, Windsurf, and Co-Pilot.
  • Develop unit test cases for integration into the continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline.
