The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit (OU) is a newly formed team with a bold mission: to consolidate, simplify, and accelerate Microsoft’s presence across the DIB landscape. We are looking for a Solution Engineer Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain to join our team. As an AI Business Process Finance and Supply Chain (SE), you will lead AI transformation engagements with ERP domain expertise. Your role involves owning the technical win strategy and supporting AI Business Process Sales Specialists (SSP) by forming strong relationships technical and business decision makers.

Your responsibilities include orchestrating and executing POCs, envisioning workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and conducting technical demonstrations to showcase the business value of D365 Finance and Supply Chain, Copilot Studio, and LOB AI Agents offerings. You will collaborate with partners early in the sales cycle.

You will be part of a dedicated sales community supported by Account teams, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success teams that enable you to drive enterprise-wide adoption of D365 solutions.

You will secure competitive wins against key competitors by showcasing Microsoft’s unique differentiation, One Microsoft narrative, supporting migration and replacement technical plans, and addressing technical blockers related to Copilot and AI Agents compliance, privacy, and security concerns.

You will be responsible for increasing D365 revenues by generating new pipeline creation, increased deal velocity and competitive share capture by supporting SSP in addressing technical proof needs.

Required Qualifications (RQs)

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
• Experience with software-as-a-service, cloud-based business applications. 
• Experience with designing and implementing business solutions leveraging enterprise application platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other CRM software
• Experience with designing and implementing business solutions leveraging Microsoft Power Platform offerings or other no/low code development platforms, analytics report and dashboard offerings, or RPA platform offerings.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations, potentially under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations.  As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information.  To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.  

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge and application of Zero Trust Principles 

• Technical pre-sales experience

• Proven ability to lead technical engagements (e.g., hackathons, PoCs, MVPs) that drive production-scale outcomes. 

• Experience with Dynamics 365 solutions in Finance, Supply Chain, Project Operations, AI Agents, and Copilot Studio

• Experience in the Defense Industrial Base ecosystem or US Federal Government Agencies

• Certifications in D365, Power Platform, Copilot or other relevant technologies or disciplines

Solution Engineer IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

• Drive proof-based differentiation (architecture design sessions, pilot deployments) to highlight how Dynamics 365 meets customer needs better than the competition, ultimately improving win rates and displacing incumbent solutions.

• Commits to ongoing professional development to maintain expert-level product knowledge and strategic sales skills

• Proactively share your insights from wins/losses with broader SE community and at readiness events to scale best practices and learnings.
