Our Revenue Accounting team enables business partners in making informed decisions, while supporting accounting operations and compliance with generally accepted accounting rules and internal controls requirements. This Revenue Accounting Senior Manager will provide thought leadership to business partners and will create sustainable and repeatable accounting processes to accelerate monthly financial close timeline.
What will I be doing? 🚀

Manage all aspects of the revenue close process, including review of journal entries and reconciliations, preparation of reports for management and business partners, while adhering to the financial close calendar timelines.

Manage a Senior Revenue Accountant
-
Continuously improve revenue accounting processes.
-
Complete second level review of non-standard contracts, document accounting conclusions.

Perform internal control activities and own processes and controls documentation.

Develop and maintain analyses for critical accounting estimates (variable consideration, reserve for credit losses, etc.).

Provide revenue accounting guidance to Sales and Legal teams.

Develop and maintain fair value (standalone selling price) analysis for the company’s services
-
Draft white papers and update accounting policies for new classes of transactions.

Prepare revenue disclosures, including remaining performance obligations disclosure.

Collaborate with the FP&A team to continuously improve revenue forecasting and reporting.

Participate in Zuora Revenue implementation and potential integration with NetSuite (e.g. prepare user requirements, execute UAT, data migration reconciliation).
What skills do I need? 📖

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
-
8+ years in a revenue accounting role at a technology or a software company, including 3+ years managing a team

CPA qualification
-
Technical revenue-accounting knowledge of US GAAP, specifically ASC 606
-
Experience in reviewing and analyzing SaaS and Professional Services contracts to identify revenue-related issues for resolution and proper accounting treatment

Proficiency in managing all steps of the revenue recognition process in Zuora/RevPro
-
Proficiency in creating custom reports in Zuora.

Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets

The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $161,500-$190,000. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
