Mysten Labs is looking for an experienced security engineering leader to join our team and take ownership of the design and development of security tools and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, security, and experience in technology development and acquisition.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and develop security tools and services that enable our organization to identify, prevent and respond to security threats

• Develop and integrate commercial security capabilities into our security infrastructure, surfaces and product

• Automate security processes and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce risk

• Ensure the security tools and services are scalable, reliable, and performant

• Work closely with other teams to understand their security requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs

• Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance our security capabilities

• Work with vendors and partners to acquire and integrate new security technologies and services

• Provide guidance and mentorship to other members of the team

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of our technology stack

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on security

• Experience designing and developing security tools and services

• Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices, and technologies

• Experience with commercial security tools and services, such as SIEM, IDS, and vulnerability scanners

• Experience with security process automation and scripting

• Strong experience in Move and more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++

• Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
