Vaultik partners with Chubb to offer AI-powered watch and jewellery authentication, valuation and insurance

Vaultik has partnered with Chubb to streamline the process of authenticating, valuing, and insuring watches and jewellery. Through Vaultik's platform, owners can photograph their items and receive AI-powered authentication and valuation results, reviewed by experts at Birmingham Assay Office. Eligible customers can then request insurance quotes from Chubb and purchase coverage digitally within the same application. The collaboration addresses a traditionally fragmented process that typically requires separate appointments for appraisal and insurance. The service is available through Vaultik's Collect App and can be offered by retailers, jewellers, and marketplace sellers. Vaultik currently partners with WhatNot and eBay Live. Vaultik's KYP protocol generates authentication and valuation outputs from photographs, whilst Birmingham Assay Office provides specialist review. Chubb underwrites the insurance coverage for eligible items.

Chubb edges 4% below fair value after Q2 2026 earnings despite 33% annual return

Chubb reported second quarter 2026 results with net income of $2.854 billion and earnings per share in line with the prior year. The insurer's shares fell 2.52% over seven days but delivered a 13.1% year-to-date return and 32.82% total shareholder return over 12 months. Analysts value Chubb at approximately $365.87 per share, suggesting the stock is roughly 4% undervalued at its recent close of $350.68. The company authorised a new $5 billion share buyback programme alongside growing dividends. Growth drivers include specialised insurance demand in cyber security and high-net-worth personal lines, supported by digitalisation and climate-related risks. However, the stock trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 12.1x, above the 11.7x US insurance industry average, leaving limited room for error if growth expectations weaken.
