Position Overview

With a rapidly growing workforce, we are looking for an experienced Director of Global Benefits to join our dynamic HR team and manage our comprehensive benefits strategy for employees across all regions.
The Director of Global Benefits will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our global benefits programs, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s objectives, culture, and the diverse needs of our employees. This role requires a strategic and operational leader who has deep expertise in global benefits design, compliance, and vendor management.
The role covers benefits programs in various locations including US, EMEA, India and APAC
In addition to managing global benefits, the Director will also lead and develop a small team responsible for the day-to-day administration of benefits. This includes coaching, mentoring, and ensuring the team is equipped to handle the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Global Benefits Strategy & Design
- Lead the global benefits strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company’s business goals and culture
- Design and manage benefits programs across all global markets including health & wellness, retirement, life and disability insurance, and other voluntary benefits.
- Ensure competitive and market-aligned benefits offerings to attract, retain, and engage top talent.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive benefits roadmap, including new initiatives, continuous improvements, and ongoing cost optimization strategies.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Stay current on global benefits regulations and legislation to ensure compliance with local laws, tax requirements, and reporting obligations in each jurisdiction.
- Oversee audits and ensure adherence to global benefits policies and practices, minimizing organizational risk.
- Lead risk management related to benefits offerings and ensure proper vendor management processes are in place.
- Coordinate retirement committee meetings and related actions.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors, consultants, and external partners to ensure high-quality, cost-effective benefits solutions.
- Oversee the benefits administration process, working closely with external vendors and internal teams to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including HR Business Partners, Legal, Finance, and Payroll, to ensure seamless administration and compliance across all benefits programs.
- Partner with the HR Technology team to design, test and launch benefits-related systems and process enhancements.
Team Management & Development
- Lead a small team responsible for the day-to-day administration of global benefits.
- Set clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with global benefits objectives and organizational priorities.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities to team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively manage benefits inquiries, issues, and administration.
- Support the team in handling escalated issues, resolving complex benefits inquiries, and ensuring excellent employee experience.
Employee Experience & Communication
- Design and implement effective global communications strategies to ensure employees are well-informed about available benefits and how to maximize them.
- Develop employee education and engagement programs related to benefits offerings, promoting health, wellness, and financial security across the workforce.
- Lead employee surveys and feedback loops to continuously improve the benefits offerings and employee satisfaction.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Use data and analytics to monitor the effectiveness and competitiveness of global benefits programs, making recommendations for improvements or adjustments as needed.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership regarding the performance and impact of benefits programs.
- Maintain a strong understanding of benefits-related trends, ensuring the company remains innovative and competitive in its offerings.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience (8+ years) in global benefits management, including designing, implementing, and managing benefits programs in a multi-country environment.
- Strong knowledge of global benefits regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements, with strong US benefits knowledge required
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor and stakeholder management.
- Experience managing and leading a team, with the ability to coach and develop team members.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing cross-functional teams and large-scale initiatives.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Proficient in HRIS systems (Workday), benefits administration platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred
- Experience in a global, matrixed organization.
- Knowledge of compensation and total rewards strategies.
- Professional certifications such as CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist), GBA (Global Benefits Associate), or similar.
