  • BA/BS, ideally in commercial real estate finance, finance or similar
  • Strong network of contacts in the CRE industry including mortgage brokers and key decision makers at potential borrowers
  • Proven track record of originating and closing a high volume of securitized CRE conduit loans
  • At least 10+ years’ experience focused on commercial real estate
  • Strong valuation, analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
  • Solicit new business: source and originate CRE conduit loans in accordance with market standards and the bank’s origination guidelines and risk parameters
  • Develop and maintain strong productive relationships with existing and prospective clients with an emphasis on origination opportunities among regional and national brokerage firms, local developers, high net worth individuals, corporations and other owners and operators in the real estate development and ownership space
  • Prescreen opportunities prior to the sizing, underwriting and documentation process
  • Oversee a deal origination team to prepare and present lending packages for internal credit approval and rating agency/ investor analysis
  • Lead in negotiating loan terms and conditions with borrowers working to achieve optimal terms for both the client and the bank
  • Provide independent, succinct and objective in-depth analysis of credit quality to present a financing request to senior management, loan approval committee and credit risk for approval
  • Use credit skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of a transaction and create structural features to mitigate risks
  • Work closely with the loan transaction management team to review and finalize loan documentation, ensuring compliance with market standards, internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with the loan underwriting team to prepare initial deal summaries and preliminary loan analysis and, should the loan approval progress, finalize the model
  • Work with the syndicate desk, securitization bankers and capital sources to achieve superior execution on transactions
  • Coordinate the processing and closing of approved loans in compliance with the company lending policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to junior team members

Wall street giants warned of data exposure following supply chain attack. SitusAMC data including accounting records and legal agreements were stolen by unknown attacker Real estate finance firm SitusAMC has disclosed a cyber attack that may have seen the theft of company data from JPMorgan Chase, Citi and Morgan Stanley. SitusAMC said it first spotted the incident on November 12. At that time, it called in outside expert help and notified federal law enforcement authorities. It immediately began taking measures to assess and contain the incident, it added. "Corporate data associated with certain of our clients' relationship with SitusAMC such as accounting records and legal agreements has been impacted," it said in a statement. "Certain data relating to some of our clients' customers may also have been impacted. The scope, nature and extent of such impact remains under investigation by the Company and its third-party advisors." At the time of writing, it's unclear precisely what data may have been accessed and if it could include information supplied by bank customers as part of their mortgage applications, including names and addresses, social security numbers, or financial histories and credit profiles. SitusAMC said that, since the incident, it's taken additional hardening measures, including carrying out credential resets, disabling remote access tools, updating certain firewall rules and enhancing certain security settings. "We are in direct, regular contact with our clients about this matter. We remain focused on analyzing any potentially affected data and will provide updates directly to our clients as our investigation progresses," it said.
