Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent years of experience)
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in leave of absence administration or management in a high volume, complex, multi unionwork environment
  • Broad HR knowledge of FMLA regulations, ADA, and other federal/state regulations in a multi-state environment
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local leave of absence laws and regulations
  • Experience administering complex leave and time off programs in a large or multi-jurisdictional organization
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with third-party administrators and cross-functional HR teams
  • Experience working with HRIS systems; Workday experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Manage the full leave administration lifecycle, from an employee’s initial notice of need for leave through return-to-work.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all leave of absence requests via phone, email, HR cases, and service tickets.
  • Partner with the HR Shared Services team to direct administrative tasks to include operation design, training and resource creation.
  • Coordinate and administer Family and Medical Leave, personal leave, unpaid leave, military leave, state and local leaves, ADA accommodations, and Veolia Paid Parental and Caregiver leave in partnership with the third-party leave administrator and Benefits COE.
  • Communicate regularly with external leave vendors and Benefits COE regarding leave status, earnings for disability calculations, status changes, discrepancies, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate intermittent and reduced-schedule leave usage with managers and HR Business Partners and/or Employee Health and Safety, including assisting in identifying opportunities for ADA or other accommodations.
  • Coordinate the use of paid leave (PTO, mandated paid leave, or other paid programs) with employees and managers. Collaborate with the Benefits COE on policy redesign, best practices and support design.
  • Partner with Employee Health and Safety teams to ensure Workers’ Compensation status and pay information are accurate and current.
  • Partner with Labor Relations to union specific leave of absence matters, escalations and/or collective bargaining agreement (CBA) implementations.
  • Partner with Benefits COE on matters requiring policy interpretation, poor vendor performance and escalated situations to timely resolve matters or implement process improvements.Partner with the Payroll Department to ensure accurate federal and state filing deductions, audits and resolve employee queries and escalated matters.
  • Coordinate and maintain the recovery of missed benefit premiums or deductions with Payroll, third party administrator and employee.
  • Coordinate all necessary HRIS and external vendor system programming to ensure the integrity of existing and new programs in partnership with HRIS, Benefits COE, Payroll, and third-party vendors.
  • Conduct and lead assessment of new and existing federal, state or local leave regulations to provide impact analysis, operation support design, implementation,communication and training, in partnership with Legal and the Benefits COE.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews to assess vendor performance and provide feedback.
  • Coordinate, maintain and submit any required federal or state filing, applications and reporting in partnership with Payroll and Benefits COE.
  • Time Off Policy and Program Management
  • Review, interpret, and support implementation and audit of new and updated time off policies. Partner with Benefits COE, legal, payroll, labor relations and other stakeholders to coordinate operational implementation and HR/employee education.
  • Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and employee-facing knowledge resources for all paid time off programs, including: + Flexible Time Off (FTO) + Vacation + Volunteer Time Off + Paid Safe and Sick Leave
  • Provide Tier 2 support and resolve for time off and absence-related inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed.

Veolia posts 10.4% net income growth in H1 2026, raises full-year guidance to 8%

Veolia Environnement reported revenue of €22.93 billion for the first half of 2026, up 1.5% at constant scope and foreign exchange, excluding energy prices. The company's EBITDA reached €3.55 billion, rising 5% with margins improving by 70 basis points to 16%. Current net income grew 10.4% at constant scope and forex, whilst net free cash flow improved by €164 million compared to the same period in 2025. The company achieved €195 million in efficiency gains during the period. Veolia completed its acquisition of Cleaners in the United States, which contributed to net financial debt of €24.5 billion. The company raised its full-year 2026 current net income growth guidance to at least 8%, citing strong operational performance and well-controlled financial charges. Revenue growth in water technology faced temporary delays in the Middle East due to geopolitical tensions.

Veolia launches $452M non-dilutive cash-settled convertible bonds due 2032

Veolia Environnement has launched a €400 million offering of non-dilutive cash-settled convertible bonds due January 2032. The bonds will be offered exclusively to qualified institutional investors through an accelerated bookbuilding process. The synthetic convertible bonds offer exposure to Veolia's share performance but will be cash-settled only, without issuing new shares. The bonds will bear an annual interest rate between 0.50% and 0.75%, with a conversion premium of 20% over a reference share price. Concurrently, Veolia will purchase cash-settled call options to hedge its exposure. The company intends to use proceeds for general corporate purposes, including purchasing the options. BNP Paribas and Natixis serve as joint global coordinators, with BofA Securities, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley as joint bookrunners. Veolia plans to list the bonds on Euronext Access within 30 days.

Veolia raises $791M through convertible bond offering to refinance 2021 debt

Veolia Environnement has completed a convertible bond offering worth €700 million through private placement without shareholders' preferential subscription rights. Enviri spins off New Enviri as standalone public company with $1.2B revenue after Clean Earth sale

New Enviri has launched as a standalone public company following the completion of Clean Earth's sale to Veolia Environnement. Veolia and Amazon partner to reuse 83M gallons of water annually for Mississippi data centre cooling

Veolia is collaborating with Amazon to develop reclaimed water systems for data centre cooling in Mississippi, supporting Amazon's goal to become water positive in direct data centre operations by 2030. The first facility is expected to be operational in 2027. Veolia will deploy containerised treatment systems converting wastewater into cooling water that meets industrial quality standards. The project is expected to reuse over 83 million gallons of potable water annually once fully operational, equivalent to the annual water use of approximately 760 US homes. The modular design enables scalable deployment across Amazon facilities globally where conditions are suitable. This collaboration is part of Veolia's Data Center Resource 360 offering, designed to optimise resource management for next-generation data centres whilst advancing water stewardship.
