Duties:
- Characterize pre-release silicon encompassing total solution including analog, digital, and firmware algorithms;
- Implement state of the art radio-frequency (“RF”) transceiver chips together with digital, analog, and mixed signal CMOS designers, algorithm and software developers, and other product engineers;
- Own a specific product or group of products or features within a product from product definition through production and release, as a member of a small, focused team;
- Define verification and characterization test plans in increasing complexity from block level to features and system level, both independently and in collaboration with system, software, and application engineers;
- Execute the test plans using test automation tools to collect data required for hardware and software release;
- Perform lab analysis of new software and silicon, working with multi-functional team to identify and correct functional and parametric problems;
- Administer the verification and release of embedded software for transceiver products;
- Develop, modify, and operate an RF-centric characterization/software verification bench;
- Interact with field sales/applications as well as customers to resolve product issues; and
- Organize block level and feature level verification of silicon and software.
Partial telecommute benefit (2 days WFH).
Requirements:
Must have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field (willing to accept a foreign education equivalent) and 36 months of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related occupation characterizing, debugging, and testing Zero-IF and direct sampling Radio Frequency transceivers.
