Requirements
  • Established sales experience in Alternative Funds/Private Markets
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets
  • Strong knowledge of private markets
  • Demonstrate sound ability to analyze client information quickly, respond logically, and use data to influence client purchase decisions
  • Proven record of maintaining strong relationships with capital market participants
  • Strong presentation, communication, and customer service skills

  • Strong and demonstrated expertise / working knowledge of the Alternative Funds business
  • Ideally possess a Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, or related field preferred)
  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10+ years’ of experience at a rating agency, bank or asset manager
  • Previous experience preferably in a customer facing/sales-oriented role with experience developing relationships
Responsibilities
  • Co-create a sales strategy to broaden S&P’s AIFs portfolio across North America
  • Identify upsell opportunities through insight-based sales strategies for complex clients
  • Manage all commercial aspects of S&P’s relationships with GPs, LPs and Intermediaries
  • Leverage communication and negotiation skills to gain user acceptance and optimize revenue
  • Deliver insights on both existing product functionality / use cases as well as explore new product opportunities
  • Track customer & industry developments/trends to identify opportunities and respond accordingly
  • Utilize and maintain Salesforce data to monitor pipeline and opportunity status for revenue management
  • Understand customer problems, identify ways and collaborate internally to help clients’ address them
  • Develop & maintain relationships with both new and existing GPs, LPs and Intermediaries – communicate S&P’s value proposition and market positioning
  • Provide the pulse of the market to senior management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver an optimized customer experience
  • Develop and manage the team’s marketing collateral
  • Prepare data & key insights for monthly reporting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in Private Markets (i.e. Leveraged Finance, Private Equity, Private Debt, etc.)
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Sustainable Finance/Environmental, Social & Governance
