Our team of security experts helps Autodesk design, build, deploy and maintain secure products. We are embedding security in the full spectrum of how we build our products from inception, design, development, testing to how we are running them in the cloud as well as how we are responding to any existing or emerging threats to our products or the building blocks of our products and services. Our job is to be one step ahead of the bad guys and use expertise, technology and other resources to thwart their efforts to compromise our products and the environment in which they operate. Our team keeps a single-minded focus on protecting our customer’s data and their investment in our products by strengthening our applications, underlying services and network.
Position Overview
As a Security Software Engineering intern, you will join a team with software engineers aiming to build software to make security frictionless for thousands of engineers across Autodesk. You will be working on cutting-edge
software that impacts the entire business. It is a unique, impactful position that provides exposure to a broad range of security technology.
Responsibilities
Learning and participating in various software development activities, especially focused on delivering solutions to security challenges
Design and build software solutions, frameworks, automation and orchestration to secure applications and infrastructure
Contribute to production-ready and production-quality code that will be used by thousands of Autodesk engineers
Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and other software development practices
Learn about new technologies in security, quality, and other fields
Gain exposure to a broad range of products and services across Autodesk
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age and actively enrolled in a degree granting academic institution or accredited boot camp at the time of internship, with at least one academic term to complete post internship
Mix of previous internship, school project, volunteer and leadership experience are also important
Software development in one of more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Go or Java
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment and successfully build collaborative relationships
About the US Intern Program
The 2023 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 22 – August 11 or June 12 – September 1). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March. Our Internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized base salary between $20,300 and $35,200. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
