Job Summary
The Relationship Manager is responsible for the settlement of estates/trusts and the general administration of personal trust accounts including estates, trusts, guardianships, and agencies up to
and including complex situations.
Additional business development and account management responsibilities:
• Represents the company in direct contact with customers, attorneys, beneficiaries, and other related parties.
Development of external leads through solicitation of attorneys, accountants and other centers of influence including community leaders and organizations in order to sell investment
management and fiduciary administration business.
• Knowledge of fiduciary products and services (e.g., personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate planning)
• Strong command of state probate code, including provisions specifically related to the management of special needs trusts
• Ability to review new trust or estate relationship documents for acceptability and mitigation of company liability
• Periodically reviews trust accounting software parameters and coding
• Obtains, directs, and updates account inventory values, account assets and account relationship information
• Initiates or approves payments or receipts to/from client accounts in accordance with terms of account governing documents
• Monitors account activity ensuring compliance with established company policies and procedures, rules, and regulations, including completion of annual Reg 9 reviews.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. J.D., CFTA, or similar professional fiduciary experience preferred
• 7-10 years’ experience in the fiduciary industry
This person must be well-organized, an independent thinker who can work without supervision, able to make timely decisions, detail oriented, have excellent customer service skills, a
superior communicator with both the spoken and written word, and familiar with Word, Excel, Outlook.
•Willing to learn how to efficiently use unfamiliar databases, willing to assist and constructively instruct direct reports and a team-player with employees in other departments; good with
meeting deadlines and easily adapts to ever-altering priorities.
Pay Range: $71,500- $110,000
This hiring range is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the salary range of possible compensation at the time of the posting, and is subject to change. The actual compensation offered will be determined by various factors, which may include a candidate’s education, training, experience, and geographic location.
