Requirements
  • Educated to a degree level or solid experience in a similar defense working environment

  • Technically adept with proven experience of selling through Government tenders and competitive bids using strong persuasive oral and writing skills

  • Understanding of underlying business principles, sales processes, and technical factors associated with products and markets
  • Computer skills to support proposal preparation, presentations and customer relationship management
  • Ability to work cross-functional
  • Analysis skills for future product investments

  • Awareness of statutory and corporate FCPA, export licensing and foreign trade rules
Responsibilities
  • Increase the company’s sales and market share
  • Develop and execute pursuit strategies for high value infrared cameras
  • Lead the proposal process for all pursuits
  • Support key customers by anticipating future customer requirements and needs to capture major programs
  • Be a key contributor in a collaborative global sales team in executing TDY FLIR’s objectives worldwide
  • Carry out regular analysis on market needs/competitive scenario and provide feedback to leadership
  • Promote, develop and conclude sales of TDY FLIR Systems’ products into the end users’ market and/or assigned territory
  • Manage the sales process with an emphasis on predictable growth and success in programmatic
  • Support operational execution including licensing aspects, admin tasks, etc.
  • Be the main point of contact for U.K. end users (from sales to execution to post-sales)
  • Manage other airborne customers within the European region in the sales pursuits with regular monitoring and timely responses to RFQ, RFPs, demo requests, and information requests
  • Meet or Exceed Booking Goal
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the Airborne Defense market is advantageous
  • A military background would benefit the candidate
  • A track record of business development and successful closing of sales would be advantageous
  • Foreign language skills: English is essential, while French, Spanish or Italian would be advantageous
