  • 5 - 7 years of experience in leading program audits within the P&C Insurance industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field
  • Expertise in audits for MGA’s, Direct Insurers, and Reinsurers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of homeowners insurance policies and regulations
  • Experience building relationships and collaborating with managers, risk analysts, and other stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of underwriting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience responding to DOI and BBB complaints
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Background in Underwriting and/or Claims is preferred
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of homeowners insurance underwriting files
  • Building an audit function from the ground up
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement in underwriting processes
  • Develop and recommend corrective action plans
  • Document and report audit findings
  • Participate in the development of new underwriting procedures
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate underwriting
  • Maintain understanding of insurance policies and industry regulations
  • Stay current on relevant software and technology
  • Manage Large Loss review process
  • Analyze and respond to customer complaints
  • Provide regular reports on insights and engage stakeholders
