Requirements
  • Pursuing a BS/MS in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial Engineering (or demonstrated equivalency or pursuing related degrees)
  • Strong communication skills and attention to process detail.
  • Experience in interpreting data, analyzing results, and communicating through visualizations.
  • Experience with programming and applied math. (for example: Python, Matlab, C++, Structured Text)
  • Examples of personal or professional projects showing your problem-solving approach.
Responsibilities
  • Working with other team members to investigate new designs, prototype new systems, and evaluate technical feasibility in the Robotics Lab.
  • Designing, executing, and documenting test plans to validate and improve state-of-the-art software and hardware.
Desired Qualifications
  • Basic experience in motion planning and controls.
  • Experience programming robots.
  • Design team experience. (for example: Formula SAE, robotics clubs, etc.)
  • Mechanical design/build experience for fixtures.
  • Experience with metrology, kinematics, and precision mechanisms.

Bright Machines, a software-defined manufacturing, announced it has raised $126 millionin Series C funding, with $106 million in equity led by investment from funds and accounts managed by BlackRock and participation from NVIDIA, Microsoft, Eclipse, Jabil and Shinhan Securities, and with $20 million in venture debt from J.P. Morgan.
