We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Field Applications Scientist (FAS) to join our dynamic team. What You’ll Do:
- Offer pre-sales support to the regional sales team, collaborating with them to visit existing and potential customers, presenting our technology to prospective clients, and participating in industry trade shows.
- Deliver compelling pre-sales presentations, tailoring Quanterix technologies to diverse audiences and disease areas. Adapt presentations dynamically based on audience feedback and changing requirements.
- Provide post-sales support to regional customers, including offering both basic and advanced training to users, addressing technical queries, and maintaining regular communication with existing customers to update them on new publications, protocols, and tools, while promoting the sales of consumables and assay kits.
- Continuously expand your skills and knowledge to better understand customer projects and contribute to the collective knowledge base of the FAS team, ensuring we stay at the forefront of technologies and their applications.
- Maintain extensive knowledge across all Quanterix platforms, guiding assay applications, and contributing to the development process. Mentor and assist in the training of junior team members.
- Independently troubleshoot complex challenges in assay development presented by customers.
- Follow Quanterix processes to track activities, deliver training and support, and document customer interactions.
- Provide valuable customer feedback to our internal teams, helping to shape our strategy and enhance our product offerings.
What We’ll Expect From You:
- Preferred Ph.D. in biology, chemistry, or biochemistry.
- 2-5 years of customer-facing experience in applications, technical sales support, or related functions, or 2-5 years in an industry research position (Pharma, BioTech, or CRO).
- Potential for FAS I, FAS II, or Senior level based on experience and qualifications.
- Proficiency in general biochemistry and molecular biology laboratory work, with a proven ability to adapt to new technologies to meet research needs.
- Strong understanding of current immunoassay technology, including Quanterix and competing platforms. Solid knowledge of assay development processes for Quanterix platforms.
- Exceptional technical communication and writing skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences. Comfortable working with individuals of varying skill levels and backgrounds, adapting communication approaches as needed.
- A team-oriented mindset, a positive attitude, a strong desire to learn, and a robust work ethic that includes independent problem-solving.
- Must live in the territory and highly preferred located close to a major airport
- Travel Requirements: Up to 65% travel expected
