Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
  • Experience with inventory management in the Navy.
  • Proficiency in Stock Control functions, ERP, ASD operations, NALCOMIS, AIS, NAVSUP One Touch, FIMARS, and NAVAIR and FIAR processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of Navy Working Capital Fund policies and concepts.
  • Experience with the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness program.
  • Experience with automated supply and maintenance management, supply system query programs, shipment channels, and standard supply processes.
  • Proficiency with the Navy R-Supply system, SABRS, CFMS, GCPC procedures, OPTAR management, and the DFAS OnePay system.
  • The position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • The work may require sitting or standing for extended periods, typing and reading from a computer screen, bending, reaching, kneeling, walking moderate to long distances, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Provide services supporting Navy logistics operations, financial management, and inventory management.
  • Provide aviation supply and logistics management services for ashore activities.
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure supply effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Perform independent analyses of naval aviation readiness, cost-wise readiness, ERP, and initiatives affecting the supply chain.
  • Conduct supply management inspections and assessments and provide training for ashore aviation support commands and activities.
  • Prepare reports and submit results with recommendations for improvements for inspections and assessments.
  • Review new and existing supply systems and programs and prepare draft reports of findings with recommendations for corrective actions, improvements, or solutions.
  • Develop aviation supply policies and procedures using new and existing supply systems and programs.
  • Conduct training for new and existing supply systems and programs for ashore aviation activities and other commands and units.
  • Develop and analyze systems implementations, conduct operational audits, and prepare follow-up reports evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Conduct studies, review findings, and recommend improved operating procedures and policies concerning BOD/BOG, ERP, and future logistics, supply, and maintenance program initiatives.
  • Support the Government in researching and developing Force Supply policies, procedures, and guidance for CNAF/CNAP-supported units.
  • Collect, review, monitor, and analyze data received from supported activities.
  • Employ analytical methods to determine aviation readiness at ashore aviation units and improve decision-making and flight-line readiness.
  • Design, build, and maintain a historical and trend-analysis database for evaluating and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Evaluate current Access database files and Excel spreadsheets and recommend improvements for performance metrics and management-tool applications.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of CMP and CMP reporting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Fifteen years of logistics experience in the U.S. military is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Supplemental Aviation Spares Support, the Material Supply Response Section, Supply Application Administrator, Component Control Section, and Continuous Monitoring Program is a plus.
