Requirements
  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or related field plus 5 years of related experience is required for Principal Level. We will consider an additional 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or related field plus 9 years of related experience is required for Senior Principal Level. We will consider an additional 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with leading teams
  • Experience managing multiple assignments and meeting tight deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient in Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of FAR, GAAP, and SOX requirements
  • Experience leading group meetings
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • MBA or CPA (preferred)
  • SAP Experience (preferred)
  • Experience in a financial services environment (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of five accounting professionals
  • Support Accounts Payable processing in accordance with GAAP, company policies and procedures, corporate disclosure statements, and government regulations including FAR
  • Demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills and be able to develop innovative solutions to a variety of problems of high scope and complexity
  • Interface with technical administrators on system performance and process maintenance relating to regular and special payable activities
  • Coordinate the review and reconciliation of all Non-PO Vendors for 1099 Reporting and Board of Directors 1099’s
  • Provide support for Audits - Internal NG Audit Team and External Audit DCAA Team (walkthroughs, documentation support)
  • Maintain internal controls and adherence to Accounts Payable guidelines
  • Responsible for coordinating system testing upgrades for Non-PO Team
  • Responsible for Month-End APE122 Non-PO Accrual Reconciliation
  • Support Year-End Corporate and Sector Accruals
  • Backup Non-PO Helpdesk as needed and respond to inquiries within 24 hours
  • Backup Non-PO Team with posting Non-PO Invoices and Interfaces as needed
  • Backup for processing Domestic and International Consultant Invoices
  • POC for Refund Checks and Unclaimed Property Checks
  • Coordinates Non-PO Team trainings and planning day-to-day resources
  • Serve as back-up Lead for Benefits AP as needed
  • Ad hoc reports and tasks as needed
  • Monitor metrics and proactively identify and execute process improvements
  • Participation in the definition, implementation, and optimization of automated systems and processes, and support for special projects, as required
  • Interface with technical administrators on system performance and process maintenance relating to regular and special payable activities
  • Serve as key point of contact for Manager of Non-PO and Non-PO Processors on departmental issues
  • Respond to escalations from our internal customers
  • Be an active leader in team engagement, promoting team unity and collaboration
