Requirements
  • A Degree and full membership of a relevant professional institute, for example CIPD chartered membership.
  • A proven track record in resourcing and talent management working at an organisational level, ideally in a large organisation.
  • Experience in taking the lead on projects while also dealing with a range of other work priorities, often linked to legislative requirements.
  • Experience inspiring your team and colleagues to get great results.
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation and how to put changes into practice.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and spoken) and the confidence to influence and challenge when needed.
  • The ability to build strong relationships at all levels, inside and outside the organisation.
  • Excellent digital, data, and analytical skills, plus experience using evidence to shape people solutions.
  • A self-starter attitude, with a passion for talent management and making a difference.
Responsibilities
  • Take the lead on complex projects and business as usual work related to resourcing or strategic workforce planning and manage a small team.
  • Supervise, direct and support team members as they carry out their roles.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure delivery of Talent Management objectives.
  • Contribute to development and delivery of the workforce plan and recruitment strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate resourcing and talent management activities and report on outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements (e.g., Home Office sponsorship and right to work, PVG scheme membership).
  • Support continuous improvement of HR processes and practices across the organisation.

  • Experience of working in public sector or local government

  • CIPD qualifications beyond chartered membership
  • Experience of implementing blended working arrangements and promoting flexible working
