You have deep knowledge of and experience with manufacturing processes. You understand the importance of building relationships, establishing order, and maintaining clear communication channels. As a Senior Manager, Manufacturing, you are a leader who is willing to listen and inspire others by your actions. Your role as a Senior Manager, Manufacturing positions you to be directly involved in the physical production that enables Baxter to fulfill our mission to save and sustain lives. You manage the line between meeting production timelines and making quality products. As a manager, you are the trusted critical connection between the business and the workers on the floor.
The Senior Manager Manufacturing oversees manufacturing operations to deliver high quality products within the budget. This role develops business/quality plans with five-year cost/quality objectives that continue to drive operational employment.

What you’ll be doing
- Adhere to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements
- Propose and devise strategies from the data gathered to support the Manufacturing Operating System
- Provide technical expertise and resources, collaborating and coordinating with Production, Engineering, and Technical Services
- Responsible for the formulation of long and short range planning for functional area
- Responsible for development of the organization’s annual operating budget and maintain expenses within the plan
- Commit to employee feedback and developmental processes
- Works with support functions to secure services and resources
- Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers
- Collaborates with the other manufacturing operations management staff/customers to ensure our quality commitments are met
- Ensure products are provided to customers on time so that product quality, yield, operating costs and process efficiencies are met
- Responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of work produced, staffing requirements, budgets, costs, methods, maintenance of discipline, transfers, promotions, salary changes, terminations and performance standards
What you’ll bring
- Candidates must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporins
- Requires a bachelor’s degree, from an accredited institution, preferably in a technical discipline.
- 8 or more years of proven experience in all aspects of the manufacturing process in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or comparable environment
- Experience in Aseptic environment is highly preferred
- Ability to lead activities of departments through subordinates who exercise full supervision in terms of cost, methods, and employees
- Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data and information and financial reports, understand and resolve technical difficulties, collaborate with internal engineering/technical experts and external technical representatives, manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing plant setting, be resourceful to a large manufacturing department
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 - $176,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentive.
