Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Patient Access Case Managers through regular one-on-one meetings, performance coaching, and ongoing professional development.
  • Oversee daily Patient Access team operations to achieve departmental key performance indicators, service levels, and operational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for the Patient Access team, offshore support teams, reimbursement vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Field Sales, Appeals, Patient Concierge, Therapy Support, and other cross-functional teams to provide case updates and resolve reimbursement challenges.
  • Ensure team adherence to reimbursement workflows, quality standards, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine departmental key performance indicators, reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Review workflows and Standard Operating Procedures to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and the patient experience.
  • Provide guidance and support regarding benefit investigations, prior authorizations, claims processing, appeals, financial assistance programs, and insurance coverage questions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain clinical documentation supporting reimbursement submissions.
  • Coordinate with commercial and government payers to facilitate authorization and reimbursement decisions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of reimbursement policies, payer requirements, and coverage guidelines.
  • Monitor case quality, documentation accuracy, and compliance within Salesforce and reimbursement management systems.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including Salesforce enhancements and workflow optimization projects.
  • Partner with the Associate Director, Appeals team, and leadership on strategic reimbursement and operational initiatives.
  • Develop training materials, onboarding resources, and coaching programs supporting team development and performance.
  • Foster a collaborative, patient-focused culture centered on accountability, continuous learning, and customer service.

"RLS treatments from Noctrix are noninvasive, clinically proven, and drug-free, just like our CPAP/APAP and bilevel therapies," said Michael Farrell, CEO and chairman of the board at Resmed, during the company's third-quarter earnings call. Resmed, which has been an investor in Noctrix since 2024, plans to leverage its established market access to scale the therapy. Prescriptions for the device are written predominantly by sleep physicians and flow through the same home medical equipment (HME) and durable medical equipment (DME) delivery channels where Resmed currently holds a leading market share. "The reach of our Resmed brand among sleep physicians and HME providers as well as our national and international distribution channel strength makes us the best owner of this scarce asset," Farrell said. The transaction is targeted to close on or around June 1, 2026. Noctrix currently has an annual run rate revenue of approximately $24 million, which Resmed notes is growing at a faster rate and operating at a higher gross margin than Resmed's core business. Once closed, Noctrix's financials will be reported within Resmed's Americas Devices category. The acquisition is expected to result in an approximate $0.02 reduction in non-GAAP earnings per share for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 as Resmed continues to invest in research and development and sales and marketing for the new asset.
