- An associate degree in Ultrasound or an equivalent qualification as defined by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Registration or registry eligibility with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Registration or registry eligibility as a Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Vascular Sonographer.
- Must obtain vascular registry within one year of hiring.
- Basic Life Support training or retraining is required during orientation before providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support certification must be maintained through retraining for the duration of employment.
- Assess the patient's condition.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
- Assist physicians with procedures.
- Assist in maintaining patient ultrasound examination information.
- Assist in maintaining the unit in working order.
- One year of experience.
