Lyft is looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be critical in building a world class accounting organization to support our growth. Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and flux analyses in accordance with close calendar timelines
• Assist in the consolidation of the company-wide financial results through the preparation of intercompany journal entries
• Work cross functionally with Finance and other business partners to gather information and assist on accounting considerations 
• Support the reporting process by gathering financial and other data for footnote disclosures in SEC documents
• Assist in support of external audit, including preparation of audit requests and ongoing support
• Assist in developing and implementing scalable accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to facilitate streamlined processes and related accounting transactions 
• Assist in documentation/implementation of internal controls and ensure SOX compliance in areas of responsibility
• Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement while helping to establish and maintain policies and procedures
• Actively participate and collaborate on system implementations and integration activities
• Prepare government reports as required
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process as requested  
• Participate in the process of tax declarations
• Perform special, ad-hoc projects, as needed

Experience:

• 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA preferred
• 4+ years in Accounting, including Big 4 and manufacturing company experience 
• Excellent organizational and communication skills a must
• Problem solving skills required
• Must be detail oriented and able to multitask 
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills 
• Ability to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team
• Bilingual (English and French)
