Requirements
  • Completion of an engineering degree (4 years) from a University (B.S. or equivalent) in metallurgy, materials, mechanical, or chemical engineering. A master’s degree is preferable.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in ASME code equipment and piping in the oil and gas, chemical, and petrochemical industries
  • Certified or working to get API 580 and 571 certifications
  • Experience with RBI implementation as per API 580/581.
  • Experience in damage mechanism assessment and developing corrosion loops in the oil and gas industry.
  • Working experience with conventional and advanced NDT applications and limitations (UT, PT, MT, RT, GWT, ToFD, PA).
  • Experience utilizing RBI software systems, such as PCMS, Visions, APM, Meridium, and other inspection data management systems (IDMS)
  • Experience performing fitness for service (FFS) assessment (at least Level I) as per API 579-1.
Responsibilities
  • Support with the development of RBI Methodology Documents, such as Management System and Technical Instructions specific to the client and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement RBI programs in commercially available inspection data management systems (IDMS).
  • Perform risk analysis, updating RBI inspection plans, and evergreening the RBI analysis.
  • Support with the verification of RBI data quality and assumptions through quality audits.
  • Participate in damage mechanism assessments/reviews and identify damage mechanisms.
  • Participate/perform fixed equipment system and circuitization.
  • Determine inspection and test plans for fixed equipment and piping.
  • Work with a team of technicians, specialists, and engineers to perform data entry, develop corrosion loops, and create piping inspection circuits.
  • Perform QA/QC of RBI project deliverables.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified API 510, 570, 653, ASNT Level II or Level III in MT, PT, RT, VT & UT is preferable.
