DevSecOps MS/PhD Summer Internship

Information processing systems are the lifeblood of national security efforts, facilitating an understanding of the global situation, strategic planning, and tactical execution. The reliability, accessibility, and sophistication of these systems can determine the outcomes of conflicts before they begin.  The Analytics and Command & Control (C2) Division develops novel solutions to the most challenging national security problems through advanced analytics. Our teams consist of motivated individuals with degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, and data science. We use our expertise and creativity to take innovative ideas from conception to everyday use by our customers. You will work in the Mission Applications Group where we deliver cutting-edge technology to a variety of operational areas and transition hardened software capabilities to the warfighter.

Job Description:

You will work as part of tightly knit Agile/SCRUM software teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab or similar systems. This includes supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS) toolsets in an unclassified environment. Other facets of your role will include:

Configuring CI/CD environments for application performance, security monitoring, and alerting
Interfacing with the Information Technology office to ensure that infrastructure toolsets are configured, maintained, reliable, and kept up to date in compliance with DoD standards
Educating engineers on DevOps fundamentals while helping to implement solid software development processes
Participating in all project phases: problem identification, solution discovery, development of software, as well as experimentation

Requirements:

Enrollment in MS or PhD degree program in a technical discipline such as computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
Strong academic record and interest in software development and DevSecOps principles
Background/experience in one or more of the following areas: software development, CI/CD tools (GitLab) and pipeline automation, containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman, deploying and monitoring Kubernetes clusters and pod configurations
This position is located in our Woburn, MA office and applicants should expect to be in the office every day
This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $89,000 - $112,000

The salary range listed is based on external market data. Offers are based on factors, such as but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, key skills/critical skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
