Requirements
  • Ability to work in a safe and alert manner.
  • Ability to take ownership for associate and resident safety.

  • Must complete all required courses in adherence with HRA University.

Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, pleasant, and efficient service to community residents visiting dining rooms and activities.
  • Remain aware of the physical appearance of dining rooms and waitress stations and identify situations that might pose trip hazards for residents.
  • Maintain standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal hygiene, and health.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information.
  • Provide a pleasant dining experience while following instructions for residents’ specific dietary needs when necessary.
  • Set up dining rooms according to hospitality and service standards.
  • Obtain food and supplies for meal service as directed.
  • Distribute and store clean dishes.
  • Practice safe and sanitary food handling during food preparation, food holding, and service.
  • Assist with food preparation as directed.
  • Clean dining rooms, kitchens, serving areas, cafeterias, and storerooms as directed.
  • Mop designated floors.
  • Follow safety and loss-prevention procedures, universal precautions, and infection-control guidelines.
  • Perform other duties or fill in for other dining-room or wait-staff roles as requested.
  • Attend required community meetings and participate in Life Enrichment activities when able.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for community residents.
