Requirements
  • Be a current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Building Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Be able to sign an internship agreement with a university or educational institution.
  • Have an interest in professional development in building installations within the construction sector.
  • Have organizational ability, attention to detail, and an orientation toward learning.
  • Be proactive and responsible, with good communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Support the technical monitoring of building installations on site, including electrical, climate-control, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, ventilation, and other associated installations.
  • Assist with reviewing drawings, measurements, technical specifications, and project documentation.
  • Support the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and teams involved in installing the systems.
  • Assist with monitoring construction progress, work planning, and schedule tracking.
  • Participate in identifying, recording, and following up on technical issues.
  • Assist with preparing reports, comparisons, minutes, and technical documentation.
  • Support the review of certifications, orders, measurements, and document control.
  • Coordinate with Production, Technical Office, Quality, and Prevention teams for proper work execution.
  • Support verification of compliance with regulations, quality standards, and internal procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Presto, MS Project, Microsoft Office, or similar tools.

Acciona acquires 80% of Vertical Earth to accelerate US infrastructure growth

Acciona has agreed to acquire 80% of Vertical Earth, a Georgia-based infrastructure contractor, consolidating Atlanta as the strategic centre for its Infrastructure division's growth in the United States. The deal is expected to close before year-end, subject to regulatory approvals. Brett Johnson, Vertical Earth's founder and CEO, will retain 20% and continue leading the company. Founded in 1997, Vertical Earth generated revenues of $217 million (€191 million) in 2025 and employs over 600 professionals in Georgia and Florida. The acquisition strengthens Acciona's self-execution capacity in a strategic market. The US represents 20% of the global infrastructure industry, with potential contracts worth $303 billion this year. Acciona's Infrastructure division is expanding across the US with major projects including the SR400 motorway in Atlanta and bridge replacement over the Calcasieu River in Louisiana.
