This role offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to work in partnership with the business as well as become involved in ad-hoc project work as required. Whilst the role is client facing, the ideal candidate will also be willing to pick up a range of tasks as per the needs of both the business and Coverage team.
What you’ll do in the role
• Advise and manage a wide range of employee relations issues, taking into account best practice, legislative framework and commercial outcomes. This includes liaising with the Employee Relations team, in-house Legal Advisors and External Counsel where necessary.
• Partner and assist the wider HR Business Partner team on Year-End initiatives e.g. compensation decisions, promotion roundtables and performance management process.
• Manage and advise on Occupational Health cases.
• Partner with the business and HR counterparts to effectively implement Talent and D&I strategies.
• Provide appropriate and timely data analytics and reports to the business as required.
• Proactively collaborating with the business, the Internal Recruitment team and Compensation team on recruitment activities.
• Assist in the initiation of international relocations and assignments.
• Assist in the completion of monthly audits, in order to ensure accurate and reliable data, giving guidance as necessary.
What you’ll bring in the role:
• Degree educated or equivalent.
• CIPD qualification preferred.
• A proven background within HR either within financial services or professional services
• An understanding of the Regulatory Remuneration environment is preferred
• An ability to manage and develop relationships within matrix management structures.
• A strong team player with the ability to operate independently, pro-actively and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders at all levels both within HCM and the business
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with good attention to detail.
• Ability to manage expectations, influence and persuade clients and colleagues.
• Ability to multi-task, to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and to adapt to change.
• Rational and logical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong appreciation of employment related risks, with ability to identify and escalate.
• Although this role will not have any direct reports on joining Morgan Stanley previous experience of managing a small team is preferred.
