  • We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of Associate Refrigeration Engineer. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for tailoring HVAC solutions by customer location prior to implementation and providing Tier 3 support to our installation teams
Responsibilities
  • Review equipment survey documents and understand the best HVAC solutions for implementation and customer satisfaction
  • Provide Tier 3 mechanical engineering support for HVAC technologies/solutions
  • Understand and interpret construction documents including site plans, floor plans, details, sections, and equipment schedules
  • Generate HVAC bills of materials and coordinate with Fulfillment team to ensure necessary materials are made available for each customer location
  • Review implementation checkout documents to diagnose problematic installations
  • Ensure accuracy of HVAC equipment tables by customer location
  • Assist the process of maximizing utility-provided incentives based on HVAC solutions assigned to customer locations
  • Confirm completion of quarterly preventative maintenance schedules across Budderfly customer base
  • Other job-related duties may be assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years of design and/or construction experience
  • Proven understanding of HVAC building operations and thermodynamics
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE Standards and International Mechanical Code
  • Robust organization skills including attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software programs
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or energy-related certification preferred
