Responsibilities
  • Evaluates current staffing levels and forecasts resource demands based on patient demand, service levels, and other factors in order to develop resource plans that align with business objectives.
  • Manages day-to-day assignments for healthcare professionals and support staff based on the resource plans of individual departments, units, or shifts.
  • Coordinates processes and assignments within staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care.
  • Monitors and adjusts staffing levels and resource allocation based on real-time demand and operational requirements to optimize resource utilization.
  • Analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) related to resource allocation and utilization, such as staffing ratios, productivity, overtime, and budget adherence.
  • Coordinates with various stakeholders, including department heads, HR, finance, and operations, to gather input, share information, and address resource-related challenges.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline resource planning processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve the accuracy of resource forecasting.
  • Manages team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development.
  • Provides guidance, training, and support to department staff regarding industry best resource planning and allocation processes, tools, and policies.
