Requirements
  • Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or related field; or Master’s degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor yield engineering field.
  • Statistical analysis and design of experiments
  • Failure analysis, including materials characterization techniques
  • Development and design of novel semiconductor or quantum devices, including understanding of cleanroom fabrication equipment and processes
  • Semiconductor device physics
  • Experience with Python and SQL is preferred, though specific languages are less important.
  • Reporting and documentation of test results
  • Cryogenic test equipment
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must have or be willing to apply for a security clearance
Responsibilities
  • Developing semiconductor, spin quantum bit devices and mature the project by improving device yield.
  • Relate electrical data taken at various temperature stages of testing, including quantum coherent spin qubit characterization, to fabrication processes and semiconductor device design.
  • Investigate device failures through materials characterization techniques, and organize, update, and summarize results.
  • Use databases to extract critical information and statistical data analysis.
  • Frequent technical communication with team members, including oral and written reporting.
