  • Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or related field; or Master’s degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor yield engineering field
  • Statistical analysis and design of experiments
  • Failure analysis, including materials characterization techniques
  • Development and design of novel semiconductor or quantum devices, including understanding of cleanroom fabrication equipment and processes
  • Semiconductor device physics
  • Experience with Python and SQL is preferred, though specific languages are less important
  • Reporting and documentation of test results
  • Cryogenic test equipment

  • Relating electrical data taken at various temperature stages of testing to fabrication processes and semiconductor device design
  • Investigating device failures through materials characterization techniques
  • Organizing, updating, and summarizing results
  • Using databases to extract critical information and statistical data analysis
  • Frequent technical communication with team members, including oral and written reporting
