As our Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Shakudo by leading our team. You will be a player-coach responsible for acquiring new customers, expanding existing accounts, and building a high-performing sales team. Your deep understanding of the data and AI landscape, combined with your experience in scaling sales at fast growing tech startups, will be crucial in shaping the future of Shakudo.
Note on relocation: we are looking for sales leaders in the bay area who are willing to relocate to Toronto, Canada. Relocation support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and evolve a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives, focusing on new customer acquisition and expanding existing accounts.
- Overcome the challenges of selling an operating system that supports thousands of use cases to data engineering, data science, and analytics teams, including navigating long sales cycles, dealing with technical and business-related objections, and building trust with key stakeholders.
- Meet and exceed ambitious revenue targets consisting of mid-market and enterprise accounts, while ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention rates.
- Be an expert in full cycle sales that require sign off from a buying committee.
- Scale the sales team by hiring, training, and mentoring top-performing full cycle Account Executives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners, such as technology vendors and industry influencers, to strengthen the company’s position in the market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, and Sales Engineering, to refine the product offering, develop go-to-market strategies, and improve the overall customer experience.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts jointly with our operations team and maintain a robust pipeline, using CRM tools and data-driven insights to optimize the sales process.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor landscape, and customer needs, using this knowledge to inform sales strategies and tactics.
