The Hampshire Clinic will launch new children's services.

The Hampshire Clinic will launch new children's services. The Hampshire Clinic (Image: The Hampshire Clinic) A private hospital is launching new outpatient services for children and young people. The Hampshire Clinic in Basingstoke will launch the new outpatient paediatric services from Monday, July 6, offering private GP and specialist care in gastroenterology, colorectal, orthopaedics and urology. The Hampshire Clinic (Image: The Hampshire Clinic) Heather Dob, executive director of The Hampshire Clinic, said: "Many private hospitals are exclusively adult focused, so by launching a dedicated paediatric service Basingstoke Gazette has a unique opportunity to widen its patient demographic and enhance the support Basingstoke Gazette provide to its local community. "We hope to provide patients and their families with access to same day appointments in a comfortable setting." Paediatric consultants have joined the hospital to support the expanded services. While the initial focus will be on outpatient care, the hospital aims to introduce inpatient and surgical services by early 2027. The private GP services will offer appointments most days of the week and include a rapid response team. Patients can access services through private medical insurance or self-funding. With demand for NHS paediatric services continuing to grow the senior management team at The Hampshire Clinic believe the launch of a dedicated children and young people's service at the hospital will provide additional support locally.
