What you will do

• Develop, validate, document and operate high-fidelity flight dynamics software tools, including orbit propagation, determination and control
• Design, implement and automate orbit coordinated maneuvers for constellation deployment, station-keeping, collision avoidance, and re-entry
• Use both commercial and in-house tools to support mission analysis and constellation design trades, optimization and operations
• Own all aspects of flight dynamics software development, including development, testing, configuration management, mission integration and operation
• Interact cross-functionally with other subsystem engineers, providing expertise as needed.
• Participate, present and prepare documentation for design reviews

Why you’re the right candidate

• You have a Bachelor of Science/Master’s/PhD in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent plus 3-5 years’ experience in relevant fields
• You have a background in orbital mechanics, orbit propagation, determination, and control in particular for low-Earth orbit applications
• You have software development experience preferably with Matlab, Python, C/C++
• You have experience with Git
• You have practical experience numerically solving differential equations and optimization algorithms
• You have experience using STK, FreeFlyer, GMAT, or equivalent tools
• You have knowledge of spacecraft systems and familiarity with key constraints and trades for low-Earth orbit mission analysis, constellation design and multi-spacecraft operations
• You have knowledge of spacecraft dynamics and disturbance modelling
• You have experience implementing Kalman filters and feedback control algorithms
• You’re a highly proactive team player with excellent technical communication and presentation skills
