WHO YOU ARE
We’re looking for a talented full-stack engineer to join our Growth Team. Growth develops new tools and productized services to help our client-facing teams scale more effectively. We’re a data-driven organization that looks for opportunities to use automation and new technologies to solve business challenges. The team is currently focused on launching client-facing mobile applications, internal-facing web applications to enhance business efficiency, and automation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience developing web applications and APIs, data visualization and working directly with stakeholders. You should have examples of projects that you’ve managed end-to-end from design to finished product. You should be great at managing your own time, breaking down complicated problems, developing hypotheses, and rapidly iterating on a product.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop web applications used by our internal teams and our sophisticated client base to provide proactive insight into relevant information, script routine tasks, and automate them for efficiency.
- Utilize and build internal APIs to power our application and automation solutions.
- Collaborate across go-to-market teams from Sales to Customer Success to enhance client experiences with Braze
- Work on small to medium sized automation projects that increase operational efficiency at Braze.
- Work with our Data Engineering team to build automations and applications based on our underlying data.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
WHO YOU ARE
- 3-5 years of experience with full-stack or front-end/back-end development.
- Experience with the following languages:
- Typescript
- Python
- Ruby/Rails
- Javascript/HTML/CSS
- SQL/MySQL/Postgres
- Experience with the following platforms and frameworks:
- React Native
- Amazon Web Services
- Google App Engine/App Script
- Kubernetes
- Datadog
- Snowflake DB
- MongoDB
- Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Experience with web-services like APIs (REST, SOAP, etc.), web authentication (OAuth, SSO, etc.), and web principles like JSON.
- You have domain knowledge of two or more of the following:
- SQL, ETLs, SaaS, Email Marketing,Mobile Push Notifications, Using or Developing APIs, Marketing Automation and Marketing Analytics.
- Experience with DevOps or managing data migrations is a plus!
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a user-centric attitude.
- You consider yourself data-minded and technically sound.
- High level of intellectual curiosity. You see opportunity and growth in learning more about what you do and how it impacts others.
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $112,000 and $153,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $140,000 and $170,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
