Requirements
  • 8+ years of development and project management experience, with at least five years of focus directly on residential development and land development projects of varying size and type, preferably in Texas.
  • Experience as an Owner’s Representative or Project Manager representing the fiduciary interests of the real estate developer or investor.
  • Skilled at managing multiple project teams simultaneously and successfully through all phases of the development and construction process.
  • Involved with and led master planning, budgeting, pre-construction, schematic design, design development, and construction documents phases, and construction/transition planning to build/project activation.
  • Knowledgeable with regard to project pro formas, including development budgets, operations (revenues, expenses, cash flows) and resulting financial metrics (return on cost, IRR, etc.).
  • Demonstrate skills in managing successful projects and consistently meeting/exceeding client expectations and deadlines.
  • Thoroughly understand project controls, project management, construction documentation and sequencing.
  • Possess a working knowledge of alternate materials/methods, construction costs, value-engineering techniques and building/occupancy laws and lease requirements.
  • Possess strong organizational, analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Show discretion in handing confidential information.
  • Adept at developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and other development, design, and construction-related and business professionals.
  • Able to travel for periodic construction and client meetings, as needed.
  • Comfortable engaging in business development within the region approximately 10% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary interface with PMA clients throughout the region (Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico primarily).
  • Lead the client and project team through a successful process of strategic real estate planning, design and construction of ground-up development, tenant improvement buildouts, and facilities assignments, with a primary focus on residential development.
