What you’ll achieve
As a BIOS/FW automation engineer you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment.

You will:

• You will be responsible for architecture, design and development of automation, validation and CI/CD strategies for BIOS and FW on Dell’s client products

• Lead the design of the next generation test automation architecture ensuring scalability and portability

• Lead the development of automation as an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery.

• Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes

Essential Requirements

• 12-18 years of relevant experience in the architecture, design and development of automation, validation, and CI/CD for BIOS and firmware with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline.

• Experience with multiple programming languages such as C and Python, common software/hardware debugging tools, test automation and CI/CD framework

• Knowledge or relevant deployment experience of the PC ecosystem with a focus in BIOS and embedded FW features for client products

• Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications

• Hands-on experience in the design and development of automation/CI/CD solutions for pre-boot BIOS and embedded controller firmware

Desirable Requirements

• Ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
