What success looks like in this role:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA and UAT testers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
- Develop and implement QA strategies and UAT plans, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.
- Manage resource allocation for testing activities, ensuring that testing efforts are adequately staffed and resourced.
Quality Assurance:
- Define, document, and maintain QA processes and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects.
- Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate product functionality, performance, and security.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential quality issues, providing recommendations for mitigation and resolution.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define UAT objectives, scope, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate UAT efforts, including planning, scheduling, and facilitating UAT sessions with business users and stakeholders.
- Monitor and track UAT progress, identifying and addressing any issues or roadblocks that may arise.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of testing requirements and outcomes.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on testing progress, risks, and issues, along with recommended actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all QA and UAT-related activities.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in QA and UAT, implementing new approaches as appropriate.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Salesforce UAT, data conversion testing and integration testing required.
- 10+ years of experience in software testing, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Proven experience managing QA and UAT activities in complex, multi-project environments.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Able to support/work PST time-zone hours.
