Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Team Lead is an integral resource leading throughout the aspects of software quality and making recommendations for quality improvement. Responsible for overseeing the design and development of test plans/approaches. The Quality Assurance Lead will also be responsible for leading the team through testing of all internal and external applications before they are released. This individual will participate in planning and refinement meetings, as well as consult with product owners and software engineers in an agile environment to ensure software quality while maintaining speed-to-market.

* This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, based in one of the following areas:
Buffalo, NY
Chicago, IL
Indianapolis, IN
Kansas City, MO
Dallas, TX
There will also be occasional travel to the Chicago, Buffalo, NY office and occasional international travel to India.
Responsibilities:
Works with product owners to obtain and analyze development requirements and coordinate a clear and transparent testing and quality strategy.
Coordinate and Advocate for the Design, development, and execution of high-quality manual and automation testing of the product
Quality leader for releases
Lead the team throughout the test planning and execution based on software requirements/technical specifications.
Constantly fine tune testing processes and best practices
Provide technical leadership and support to other Quality Assurance Analysts
Clearly and regularly communicate with QA colleagues, Business Owners, Development, Management and Customer support colleagues
Recommend process and Quality improvements to ensure strong product quality and optimization of resources.
Work Experience/Education:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering with a Bachelor’s degree.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred; Software Engineering, Computer Science degree is preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
Prior software quality assurance experience required
Proven leadership through different quality assurance processes and testing phases including functional, system integration, regression, and exploratory testing
API automation testing knowledge is desirable.
Ability to set up test environments and data sets and leading others through similar exercises when needed
Analyze user requirements (stories) and convert requirements to test approach and plans
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright etc.
Basic understanding of fundamentals of programming
Able to work and lead with a quality focus in a dynamic, fast-moving company environment
Ability to multi-task while consistently maintaining strong attention to detail
Ability to meet designated deadlines with a strong sense of urgency
Experience with Agile development techniques and supporting tools desirable
Prior experience in the property and casualty insurance industry is desirable
Licenses & Certifications:
Prescribed: NA
Preferred: American Society For Quality (ASQ) Certified, Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB)

The target salary range for this position is $129,200.00 - $169,575.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
