Requirements
  • Minimum 8-12 years of relevant Chapter 11 bankruptcy and restructuring / distressed experience
  • Prior hands-on experience building / developing / overseeing integrated 3-statement financial and 13-week cash flow models
  • Consistent track record of successfully structuring and leading client engagements
  • Experience with development and maintenance of client relationships
  • Strong commercial instincts and interest
  • High energy style, flexible and adaptive
  • Understanding and ability to adapt to complex client environments
  • Experience negotiating in complex situations involving senior level stakeholders
  • Able to develop credible recommendations under shortened time constraints
  • Experience synthesizing complex unstructured information rapidly
  • Proven track record of effectively planning for and proactively mitigating risks on projects
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently extend work for self and team members on client projects
  • Expert spoken and written communication skills in English
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • An undergraduate degree from a top academic institution
  • Advanced degree and/or professional certification (MBA, JD, or CPA) preferred
  • Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage client engagement team(s)
  • Direct restructuring advisory experience with top tier consulting firms or CEO/CFO experience
  • Define, align, and scale data gathering and assessment based on client needs
  • Lead clients and engagement teams through challenging turnaround and restructuring situations
  • Undertake extensive travel as required
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Pursue new engagements and develop pitch materials
  • Deliver innovative solutions with new tools, methodologies, and approaches
  • Effectively plan for and proactively mitigate risks on projects
  • Mentor team members and support their career progression
  • Promote and abide by the firm's Core Values
